Te Tauraki had the privilege of attending the opening and blessing of a new space for Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust at Eastgate Mall recently.
This is a new space in the community for wānanga, Whānau Whakapuāwai, a perinatal maternal mental health service, rāranga/traditional weaving, rongoā services, with more coming soon.
Dame Aroha Reriti-Crofts established the Trust in 2005. She saw a need amongst our people that was not being met by our ‘mainstream’ health and social service sector. She had a desire for our people not just to survive, but to thrive.
Te Puawaitanga ki Ōtautahi Trust offer a wide range of holistic hauora services for whaiora to access in Ōtautahi.
